By recycling key components like panels, pedestals, overhead cabinets, work surfaces, and hardware, more than 312 pounds per workstation is saved from the waste stream. That's over 1 ton of landfill per 10 workstations. With the average project consisting of 32 workstations, more that 4 tons of refined material waste can be rescued by recycling. In addition to the direct waste, buying new cubicles further depletes the natural resources required to manufacture the new cubicles. As is often the case, they really aren't making them the way they used to. Older core components are often better made than new, made with better materials, heavier duty connectors, and the list goes on. Recycling these components only makes sense, especially when you can get the same end result you desire without any compromise to style, technology, or function.
